I can not get less than 200 downloaded pictures on hard drive with a one second activation of motion detection. I have tried the minimum fps and that is the amount downloaded. Obviously it would be millions
of pictures over a longer time. Seems somewhat dysfunctional with these amounts.
Any help appreciated. Mike

I'll presume you've configured your DCS-932L to upload images to an FTP server. When you log into the web UI and navigate to SETUP > FTP > TIME SCHEDULE, set the following:
- Enable uploading of images to an FTP server - Checked
- Motion Detection - Selected
- Image Frequency - 1 (Frames/Second)
-
The image frequency setting has NO EFFECT when doing "motion detection" and ftp.
This has been discussed ad nauseum on these boards.
ftp to a local computer always results in a data flood.
ftp to more distant servers results in lower frame rates.
D-Link ignores this terrible software design deficiency.

Thanks for reply. Does that mean a program like Blue Iris would react the same way with the 932L?

sorry, no clue ...
