Whenever I use the microphone function, on the dlink site or the mobile app, my camera (DCS-942L) fails to produce any sound. I bought this camera specifically for the two way communication. Unfortunately I can hear sounds from the room where the camera is located but I'm unable talk to the people in that room. I updated the camera to the latest firmware, my microphones are not muted, and audio is enabled in the web admin interface for the camera.
Any idea what's wrong?
Thank you in advance.

You must upgrade your firmware to version 1.22 for two-way audio to function properly.

Did you attach a speaker to the DCS-942L? There is a headphone/speaker jack on the rear of the unit.

Oops... I didn't. I thought there was a built-in speaker. My bad.

No problem. Please post back and let us know how things work out. . . ;)

Can anyone recommend a good speaker for this?
