Hi,
My current setup:
I have a DIR-505 (Hardware:A1, Software V1.06)
Device is setup in 'Wi-Fi HotSpot Mode'
I have a 3rd party mobile broadband WiFi hotspot SSID = 'MobileWifi'.
The DIR-505 connects to 'MobileWifi' no problem.
The local Wi-Fi Network Name SSID = 'LocalWifi'. WPA is set to Auto/TKIP&AES.
WIFI PROTECTED SETUP (WPS) is enabled.
LAN setup is Static IP with DHCP enabled.
Problem:
Internet browsing & email works fine when connected to 'LocalWifi', but VOIP does not.
VOIP works fine when connected directly to 'MobileWifi', without the DIR-505 in between.
Does the DIR-505 support VOIP ? If so, what settings need to be changed?
thanks,
Rod

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
I can only presume that maybe in Hotspot mode, VoIP may not be supported...Might work in Router mode. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask about this. Let us know what they say.

Were you able to find out any information regarding this? ???

There isn't a lot special about VoIP but you may need to set up port forwarding, depending on your provider and configuration. I don't remember if the 505 has an ALG setting, but if it does, turn it off.
