I have a DIR-835 and a DIR-605L, the one being used currently is the 835, but my router is set in the basement and my room is on the 2nd floor, thus my phone cant get any signal in my room. I've tried to set up a wds connection but im having trouble understanding the steps online, as they arent for these sepcific models. I also understand that a bridge connection may work better. Which is easier to set up, a wds or a bridge? Also, should i change the 605 as the main and the 835 as the repeater?

- What Hardware version is yourDIR-605L? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
I presume that you'll need WDS to help repeat the main host routers signal.
The 835 does not support repeating:

im new to this so please try to explain as simple as possible <3
Info in DIR-605L:
P/N : CIR605LLNA...A1
H/W Ver. :A1
F/W Ver. : V1.12 (But its been upgraded to 1.14)
S/N : R3ET1C6002407
U said thatthe 835 doesnt support wds, so does that mean ill have to leave it in the basement ( where it will be left to be connected to the modem and other stuff ) and leave it as the main host?

Yes the 835 does not support any wireless bridging or repeating. So it needs to be your home host router.
