Title: [SOLVED] DNS-325 "None Hard Drives"
Post by: Buffett300 on January 13, 2014, 08:29:02 AM
DNS-325 running a dual 500GB HDDs via RAID 1, static IP address, Windows 7 Pro.

I restarted my DNS-325 via the User Interface, once it restarted it under "Storage Status" in the right help menu it says "None Hard Drives" and I cannot access the mapped drives via Windows Explorer.

When I go to the "Disk Management" tab, under "Hard Drive Configuration", the only option I have is "Set RAID Type and Re-Format".  Typically it would say something along the lines of "RAID 1".  I DO NOT want to re-format the drive, so I assume that I don't want to select this button.

How do I regain access to these drives?  I was reading about the DNS-323 and some website recommended running the "Setup Wizard", I just want to make sure that whatever I do I don't lose my data on the hard drives.

Thanks for the help.

Figured out the problem... a "Scan Disk" was started, then canceled right after.  Apparently the Scan Disk needed to be finished, once I went through an finished the scan the drive is shown and all mapped drives are working.
