Title: Firmware Update - correct version
Post by: GaryNY on January 13, 2014, 09:16:16 PM
Regarding the DCS-930L firmware update, thanks D-Link, the new time delay between images should make the camera much better behaved when there's a lot of motion.

It did take 2 tries for me to get this update applied, though.  The MyDlink app on my phone prompted me to update, and I also saw the announcement here, but I began from the link to updates in the camera's maintenance menu (firmware upgrade page) to download the new firmware.  This took me to a support site http://support.dlink.com/, where I did a search on this camera, arriving at this page: http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-930L and downloaded firmware. I applied this, and only after doing this did I notice it was actually old firmware (1.08 the same as what I had previously, not the new 1.09).  I then found the right (new) firmware from this forum.  Can that support site be updated with this latest firmware too, so people don't get the old version like I did?  mydlink.com also seems to have 1.09, but support.dlink.com has 1.08.

Thanks for pointing this out. Unfortunately, there's typically a lag synchronizing the files posted on the various D-Link support sites. Since this firmware was recently posted, we're seeing the affects of that now.
