Title: DNS-320L Cable Length?
Post by: whboyd on January 14, 2014, 10:14:41 AM
What length Ethernet cable ships with a DNS-320L NAS?  I'm selling mine and can't figure out which of my cables originally came with it.  I'd like to match the length.  Thanks for any information.

The cable that ships with the unit is rated at Cat5. Although I don't recall the exact length, the cable that ships with a ShareCenter is somewhere in the range of 1 to 3 feet. I don't think the cable length is relevant to reselling your DNS-320L so much as providing the proper cable type (i.e. Cat5).

Most D-Link products that have CAT cabling are 3 ft in length.

I thought so, but didn't want to commit to a number!  ;D
Color is a different story though...

Thanks for the reply.  Today at Best Buy I found CAT-5e and CAT-6 cables, but no CAT-5.  I would think that matching exactly doesn't matter as much as getting at least CAT-5.

If you're concerned about matching the cable, anything equal to or better than Cat5 should be fine.  ;)
