Hi everybody, hopefully I can get some assistance here.
I've been trying to access my admin page for my new 850L and for whatever reason, I am unable to do so.
I've never accessed the admin page on this router before, so I haven't changed the password to get in. I leave the login as Admin (there's no option to change that) and used no password, "password" as the password, "admin" as the password and it keeps telling me that the username/password is incorrect. I've used FF, IE, and Chrome and no success in any. I've considered resetting the router to factory settings, but as I've never changed the login info for the Admin page or even attempted to access it, I don't see how this would help.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
3rd Party Security Software Configurations
- Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Web Browser Configurations
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

I'm using hardware version A1 and firmware version 1.05, wired connection, located in Ontario Canada
None of those measures seemed to work. I'm at a loss here. I never changed the password from the default settings, and I've only had the thing set up for about a week or two.

I would give a factory reset using the button on the bottom, hold in for 15 seconds then let go.
Have one wired PC connected to the router and use IE or FF. You should get a new set up wizard window instead of the log in page...walk thru it or manually set up the router...

Thanks dude, I'll try that.

So, as it happens, turns out I'm a dumb ass and actually just forgot the password that I had set on initial set up.
I'm in now no problem. Thanks for your assistance though! I'll be back for sure.
The main reason I wanted to get into the router settings was so I could set up my Unblock-Us account so I can watch some US Netflix. Hopefully I can figure that out...

;) Glad you got it working.
Enjoy.
