Title: DNS320 Unable to update firmware
Post by: claybone on January 18, 2014, 12:17:23 PM
Hi,

Just got a new DNS320 and a couple of 2tb Hard Drives. They are compatible with the 320 but not detecting so I thought, OK, maybe the firmware needs updating as they are new drives and possibly not compatible with v1.00

I have downloaded from DLINK the correct firmware B file but the firmware button isn't highlighted so I cannot update!?

Any ideas cos at this rate I am just going to send it back! Getting stressed!

Any info would be awesome

Cheers  :)

Make sure to use IE to perform the update. Secondly, make sure you unzip the firmware archive. If the firmware doesn't have a .zip extension, try adding one and see if Windows recognizes the file as a valid archive -- if so, then extract the contents.

Please post back and let us know if that helps.  ;)

Are you sure your DNS-320 is hardware revision "B" and not "A"?
