Title: Time Machine setup

Hi Everyone, just setting up my DNS-320L and i want to use Time Machine on it - i have configured it ready, what i would like to know is can i transfer my existing Time Machine backups from my 'old' drive across to this, so that Time Machine can access them - i don't really want to have time machine accessing 2 drives. If i can - what is the process to do it, do i just do a copy of the files and will time machine then recognise them automatically?
