- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Wireless Configurations
Links>Wireless Installation Considerations (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0) and Managing Signal Congestion (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53228.0) and Good Neighbour Policy (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=10634.0)
- Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers. Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
- What wireless modes are you using?
- 2.4Ghz Routers only: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
- Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
- Try setting a manual Channel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_channel) to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
- What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard), so you might want to try TPIK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_Key_Integrity_Protocol) only or Auto TPIK and AES.
- What wireless devices do you have connected?
- Any cordless house phones?
- Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/) to find out. How many?
- If you have any of these options, Try turning OFF or ON Short GI (http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/30969-what-do-80211ns-optional-features-mean-for-you), WLAN Partition, HT 20/40 Co-exhistance and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Recommended settings are default. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Do other devices connect to the 600 router?
-
it is rev B5 and firmware is 2.11 .Before this I had tp link ,and connection was without problem. All other devices connect within any problem.tried every possible solution ,changing channel ,turn off shortgui and else ,but no success.
-
- What region are you located?
-
Serbia ,but I don't think so that is important ,because I can't connect even I put open network.Never have problem like this.
-
All all other devices connect to the 600 accept for this Laptop?
There is a v2.14 available that you could try...
-
All other device : mobile,PC connect within any problem.Only this laptop can't connect with dlink dir600
-
Ok, I would presume that if all others connect well to the 600, the problem is with the Wireless adapter on the LT, drivers for the adapter or in the configuration.
What modes does the adapter on the LT support? single B , G or N mode? Did you try to connect G mode only, with no WiFi security? Does Single mode G with TPIK only work?
Ensure the drivers are up to date on the adapter.
Check with in the adapter configurations for any radio mode support and configurations there. Refer to the Mfr of drivers and configuration support.

From device manager : fujitsu siemes computers wlan 802.11b/g (sis163u)
-
Does single mode G on the 600 router with out any security work?
Is the drivers for this adapter up to date?
You could try the FW update. If you do, please follow this:
FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)
There is v2.15 for your model on D-Links Serbian web site.
-
I downgraded from 2.15 version to 2.11 No changes with 2.15..
-
I would presume there is a problem with the WiFi adapter on the LT then...
-
But I can't find driver newer than 2007 year for sis163u.
-
Youl need to get into a new adapter for the LT, something either like replacing the internal wifi part or install a USB adapter or use a bridge and connect the LT to the bridge using the wired lan plug.
-
why I should change wlan card when other router works well with it ? at this moment I am on belkin N router on laptop that have problems with dlink router
-
Any status on this?
I presume there could be a compatibility issue between WLAN adapter and the D-Link router.
