Title: automatic login with telnet without any and request of username / password.
Post by: pierre.huybens on January 25, 2014, 07:45:35 AM

I do not know how I made this but a try to have a pre-login message on my DNS-320L and play with some issue , login-sh files in /etc.
I try to see if the infor, ation is display and login to the NAS using SSH  , the DNS-320L ask for the  username and password has expected. But when I try to login using telnet , I got the bash prompt directly and I am root on the system  !!

I can I enforce telnet to request username/password ?

I understand why telnetd was running , during last boot the usb was not yet ready when fun-plug try to run and run from the old place on the disk, on this place I did not remove the +x option of the telnetd.sh script.

Nevertheless, do we have a way to enforce  requesting username/password when telnetd is running ?

thanks
