Title: Accessing Hughes modem page with the DIR-825
Post by: fzappa on January 25, 2014, 11:48:08 AM
The modem from Hughes is set to be accessed by the IP 192.168.0.1, but not when connected through the 625.  When running without the router, works fine. When the router is in place I CAN access the System page in the modem if I use the default gateway it gives me, which seems to change from time to time. Any idea what in the router is stopping even the ping from router to modem?
625 is running the latest fw 2.09NA.

Can u co firm the model # of your router again?

If the isp modem uses .0.1 thats the same as the DIR router. Youll need to change the routers IP address to 192.168.0.254 and try that...

The router is the DIR-825 B1 and I set it up as 192.168.0.2 and dhcp for all devices, reserving their IPs. Would this IP work or do I need to make that jump out to what you suggested? I have dhcp range set as 192.168.0.3 and up to 9.

I would use default pool settings first before shortening the pool.
Try setting the 825 ip address to 192.168.1.254

BINGO! That's all it took (the router IP). Thanks for the help, as always.
