Title: DSL 2740B - WDS Compatibility and Bridging possibilities
Post by: diegoket on January 27, 2014, 10:50:05 AM
HARDWARE: DSL2740B - C2
FIRMWARE: EU_2.95

Hi,

I would like to know if my modem/router is compatible with the wireless distribution system (WDS) in order to extend my wi-fi network using a Time Capsule device.

Do you know of other ways to use a wi-fi bridge? Through access point or so?

Last question, can the DSL2740B be used as a bridge itself?

Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Acess Point (AP) / Routers vs Dedicated Access Points (AP) (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50738.0)

Thanks, this seems quite complete.
I will go through it when I have some time.
However, is there an easy way to tell if my router is wds compatible?
(I lost its packaging)
