Hello,
I've bought one DNS-320LW, with 2 2TB disks (WD) without RAID configuration.
I've configured fixed ip address, and forced GB Eth with also forced configuration in the Cisco Switch. Don't have any drops or errors in port.
Have Solarwinds looking for the port (errors and performance).
Have created 4 shared folders. And start to copy (CIFS) from a windows xp connected in 100MB full duplex and the transfer rate stays at 650kb (with 1Mb top for a brief periods).
Don't see any problem in cabling, networking. Don't see CPU, memory problems in the NAS (allways between 10 to 20%).
Do you have similar problems, any out of the box solution?
Thanks in advance,
AA

Good afternoon,
Any suggestions?
Comments?
Thanks,

Did you try accessing the DNS-320LW with another PC to rule out the client PC as a possible root cause?

Hi.
Strange. I have a similar config (WD drives 5400rpm so slow), except gigabit.
But, have you got zonealarm ? I had a problem with zonealarm : using ftp, the upload to the box was gapping at 12MB/s... when i desactivated ZA i reached around 50-60MB... Perhaps have you got like an antivirus or FW software that examine the flow too much...
