Title: What is DCS-2132LB1?
Post by: TKorho on February 02, 2014, 04:41:47 PM
I see that there is now new camera model about. It is not well represented in reviews nor even specs lists. It is called DCS-2132LB1. Is it new upgrade of this very camera? Or is it a beta software? Or fully new model, replacing this old (and rather buggy) one?

Even the support pages don't have a manual for it, but the new model is there. I hope it makes this camera all the better.

Please see this thread: DCS Network Cameras - Why Have Multiple Hardware Versions for the Same Model?  (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=57627.0)

Most D-Link cameras have multiple hardware versions during their lifecycle. I'm not sure why mydlink.com are calling out the "B" series DCS-2132L and DCS-5222L differently (e.g. the DCS-942L alone has four hardware versions).

Thank you JavaLawyer, the notation matches. It also matches well this hardware revision thread: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=57320.0  Shame I didn't see it when writing mine.

After browsing for some time, I started having mentions of DCS-2132LA1. Which denotes the old version.

I believe they had some bug in the hardware, and they upgraded it.
