I've gotten the 343 up and running but would like to use the SMTP mail alerts, but using my comcast SMTP mail server fails the test.
Is there any way short of updating to the "beta" FW? I try and avoid unsupported betas where possible. Is my only option to wait until the non-beta 103 is released?
I can't understand it as I've read posts in these forums that others have had success with the Comcast SMTP server.
Please advise.

From my experience, the 1.03x beta firmware is more stable than the current release -- the beta versions are fixing problems in the public firmware release.

Javalawyer,
On 5/25 you reported in another thread that your e-mail alters STOPPED working when you upgraded to 1.03bv build 70.
Are you suggesting that I upgrade anyway? Did you resolve the issue in that firmware version?
Thanks for the help.

on the latest build my emails are now working (i.e. my issue was resolved). I receive a daily log to my email.
