Hi guys, I'm currently having two issues:
1. Any idea if there is any alternative to map my shareport usb drive remotely? So that I will be able to access my files out of LAN. I'm able to access the shareport in a browser both locally and outside of LAN. However, when i try to use the shareport mobile app, it will only work in LAN as well. Thus is there anyway of mapping it like a ftp server? :)
2. Also, when I try to login mydlink via mydlink lite for android, it will show me a message saying that "Your account verification has been expired. Please tap a resend a verification mail and verify your account." After I did that, it will tell me that my account has already been activated. However, I'm able to access it without going through the app, meaning I access it via a browser.
Thanks in advanced :D

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
I don't believe you can use SP as a FTP Server to connect to LAN side shares or files from the WAN side.
If there is problem with your mydlink.com account, I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support and ask about it there. If you can gain access to the mydlink account on a windows PC with out issue, then a problem could exist on the phone app.

Firmware version is 1.06SH (From the admin page(192.168.0.1, aka default gateway). But when I look underneath the sticker, it shows 1.04. I believe the 1.06SH is my ISP in Singapore, starhub modified. I got this router from my ISP after signing up for fiber plan.
I ISP is Starhub, Singapore.
The modem is a huawei nucleus connect.
Don't think that it is the issue, since I am able to connect it through the web browser.
I see :)
I do understand that it can support Samba from my window. Is it possible to access samba when i'm outside of the network? :)
I've solved the mydlink account already :)'
Right now only left the shareport mobile app is not working in WAN :(

Samba is an internal LAN side protocol:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_Message_Block (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Server_Message_Block)
For any SP mobile app issues, you'll need to phone contact your regional D-Link support office and have them help you with that and ensure that your router is configured and supporting correctly of the app.
- If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm) and How NAT Works (http://cognitiveanomalies.com/cisco-nat-how-nat-works/).
Good Luck.
