Title: router does not detect newer firmware
Post by: moosehead on February 15, 2014, 12:36:34 PM
Just setup DGL-5500. Went to check firmware. Running 1.01 date 25 june 2013.

Hit check for latest firmware and it comes back saying that the most current firmware is installed.

Go to the website and I see that there are 2 newer firmwares. 1.10 and 1.11beta. I know that the beta would not show up but why does 1.10 not show as newer on router?

For doing any FW updates, please follow this:
FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)
Be sure you are unpacking the .bin file from the .zip file once it's been downloaded...

We recommend manually downloading FW and using the FW update process to apply.

Glad you got it going.

Enjoy.
