Title: Mobile choice for better local connection

After experimenting a week I found the following about good connectivity.

1) Dual band mobile devices connect better than single band, IF the mobile device is connected in the 5 Ghz band.   Conclusion:  Get dual band mobile device and connect at 5 Ghz, connect cameras (mine have no choice) at lower band (2 Ghz).

2) Using a two WIFI setup ( basically having an access point)  is better than a single wifi.   If all cameras are on access router and your mobile is connected to main router,  the connection will be more reliable.

3) The more connected mobile devices viewing live camera feeds,  the higher the chance of being disconnected.   DCam-View on PC also is degraded if a mobile device is using DCam View, mydlink, just connect+.

4)  I guess we all know this,  wired is better than wireless.

With regards to 1,2,&3..

It really depends on how many things you are streaming at one time.

 Having your cellphone on wireless 2.4 should be fine.

I don't get many disconnects.
I have 11 devices on 2.4 and 4 on 5ghz.

Had some strange dead spots with 2 Galaxy S4 on 5g. Moved one to 2.4ghz and it all cleared up.

I have both Droid and IOS hardware, IOS is better,  but my droid is not high end so that could be it.  IOS seems to run better (streaming IP camera video) when on 5 Ghz.
