Title: Working with attached storage from Windows
Post by: tripleozero on February 16, 2014, 02:07:47 PM
Is there an easy way to work with files on a attached device through Windows? I have a 3TB hard drive plugged into the USB port to share movies and other files. I'm trying to find an easier way to transfer files to and from the HD w/o having to directly plug it into the PC.

In Windows 8, the DLNA server shows up, but I can't move new files there or delete items. The web functionality works well enough, but it's not exactly convenient.

Any suggestions?

Try this?

FYI, max official supported USB drive sized on D-Link routers is 500Gb...Larger sizes may not work...

That link was exactly what I needed -- thanks! (And I feel dumb now, because I definitely should have known that.) I guess my search-fu could use some work.

I'm on hardware A1, firmware 1.07. It may not be officially supported, but it's working fine. The drive is a Seagate Backup Plus 3TB.
