Post by: Apexs on February 18, 2014, 07:40:30 AM
Hi i have a D-Link DNS-320L ShareCenter that im trying to connect to a samsung UE46f6320AK (46" F6320 Series 6 Smart 3D Full HD LED TV)smart TV, the TV appears to be able to connect to the NAS but it does not see any files?

I also have a PC and a Laptop on the same network and both of them can connect to the NAS without any issues? does anyone have any clue?

My guess is the TV only supports DLNA to retrieve media files?

If so, you need to enable DLNA on the DNS-320L.
Login to your DNS-320L, then go to Management->Application Management->Multimedia Services
Under Multimedia Shares Settings->Add.. Select the folder/s you want to share. The DNS-320L will now Index all the media files found in the selected folders. This may take quite a while, depending on the library size.
When it's finished indexing enable the server under UPnP AV Server Settings.

Now try again on your TV and it should find the DNS-320L DLNA server and you should be able to browse the library. Which media files you will see and which you won't see, depends on your TV and what filetypes it supports.

i have noticed a lot of the file names are numbers? instead of their normal filenames? is there a problem with long filenames or something else causing this? thanks again
