Title: DNS-345 Surveillance Center Locks Up
Post by: lwb250 on February 19, 2014, 02:15:05 PM
I have tried both the current and beta versions of Surveillance Center on my DNS-345 and both freeze the GUI as soon as they enter the screen for the application.

The "Launch Surveillance Center" button is present, but clicking it does nothing, nor does refreshing the page.

I am running this on a Mac with OSX 10.7.5, and everything else in the GUI for the DNS-345 has worked fine for over a year.

The Surveillance Center user manual indicates a requirement of Windows 7 and IE8 or above. There's no indication of Macintosh support.

I'll ask D-Link about Macintosh/Safari compatibility. . .  :-\

Thanks.

Since the applications are visible and can be enabled/disabled and most used in Safari, I'm a little surprised  this wasn't made clearer.

For comparison's sake, I use Firefox on Windows 7 for most DNS-345 web UI functionality without an issue, but the Surveillance Center add-on will only launch from IE. The launch button does nothing in Firefox.

It won't launch from IE 11 in Windows 7.  You get an error message saying "This application only supports the IE browser."

Wonderful.

Have you tried an earlier version of IE? I am using IE10 without issue.
