Title: Tunlr DNS on DSR-1000N ?
Post by: userlt on February 21, 2014, 12:36:28 PM
I need help setting up Tunlr DNS on DSR-1000N.
The router seems to be not allowing Tunlr DNS.
My ISP assures that they are not enforcing any DNS settings on my link. Otherwise the router works ok.
I am on firmware 1.08B77_WW.
Any help would be much appreciated.

What region are you located?
I am in the continental EU.

Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?
Yes.

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
Radiolink. Fixed IP.

What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
Unsure. It is plugged into WAN2. Config for WAN2 is all set manually.

What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
50Mbps both ways

Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option.
Enable Use Unicasting (compatibility for some ISP DHCP Servers) under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn OFF DNS Relay If you have this option. Can you manually enter in the DNS needed?
DSR-1000N is very complicated router and I do not see these settings in the menus.
Please advise where specifically can I find them.

May not have those similar settings as other routers, I would refer you to the User manual for this information on DNS settings. Also phone contact your regional D-Link support office for further help and information.
