Title: FTP set up

I am looking to get images for motion detection. I have  hard time doing the set up for FTP. The FTP set up  is asking for the following:
Host Name: I am entering IP camera address
Port: default 21
User name: admin (username asked when entering camera through IP)
password: ****
Path : No clue
Passive mode : no clue
No need to mention that the test FTP server fails.

Anyone knows proper set up for FTP.  ??? Thanks.

User Name: username for the FTP server
Password: Password for the FTP server
Path: / (this will write to the root of the FTP folder)
Passive Mode: No

You will need to have an FTP server available in order to have the camera send files to it.

One common option would be if you own a website, or if your ISP offers you some web storage (in which case they would have information on the FTP details).
You might also have a NAS (network attached storage device) on your home network that supports FTP.
You can also run an FTP server on your computer that will receive the files, but at that point you might be better off just running monitoring software (like D-ViewCam) to record the video.

I dropped the FTP serve option as I don't have one. So I am checking the mail set up... I do receive email notifications on my email address , however the image on top is a little icon with a broken image that gets me to the myflink page with error 404. Anyone know how to correct this problem. Thank you. ??? ??? ???

 Use SSL-TLS/STARTTLS :   No

for Setup > Mail > TIME SCHEDULE:

    Enable the emailing of images to an email account Yes
    Motion Detection
   
      E-mail attached with 6 frames (3 frames before and 3 frames after motion frame)
      Frame interval time :   1 second

So sorry for the delay guys, have been caught up with things... ;) I tried what acellier said today, and it is finally giving me some signs that the camera is alive, however seems that it is not very good a catching someone that walks slowly in front of the camera, I literally had to sit in front of the camera for a couple of minutes to see me there on an email motion detection imageI will need to play with the settings, but at least it is getting me now emails with pictures which it wasn't doing before. I do have to say that the night vision is excellent not bad for such a budget camera. Thanks a million acellier.. great help with " STARTTLS :   Yes"
 I was starting to get afraid that this camera was only to be used by experts on networking and such.  Thank yo JavalAwyer and ReverendTed for your feedback.  You guys rock!!!

Hello again,

I have noticed that this camera is very sensitive, make sure to set your motion detector to a low percentage, 10% seems to work for me, otherwise it will trigger many email detection images and flood my inbox.  ;)
