Title: Login fails
Post by: brettar on February 27, 2014, 04:27:39 PM
Hi, I have a DIR-600 router with Hardware Version : B1 and Firmware Version : 2.01.
I wanted to configure the router, but I forgot the login password, so I did a reset to the router.
After the reset, the default credentials are username = "admin" and password = "", I entered those, but I still get the "login fail" when trying to connect to the router.

How can I solve this?

Thanks.

Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

Be sure to factory reset using the button under the router and hold it in for 10 seconds.

It was the reset part. I was only holding the butter for like 3 seconds. After holding it for 10 seconds I could log in with the default credentials.
Thanks a lot!
