Title: Can DIR 645 be used as "repeater"
Post by: RPMCGB on March 09, 2014, 02:34:53 PM
I have a steel building garage about 75 ft. away from where the my current DIR-645 router is stationed. I have no problem getting a good signal at the doorstep of the steel building, but once inside I have nothing.  I want to pick up the signal (and it doesn't have to be a great one) on a TV with wifi.

Can I go buy another DIR-645 (or other D-Link product) and set it up as a repeater in the garage with an outdoor antenna to pick up the DIR-645 wifi from the house? Running a hard line is not an option, and I do not need lighting speed either.

Thanks again

You'll need to get into something thats has extender or repeating capabilities..
