Is there a way to put a limit on the bandwidth for individual users/devices?
I have major wireless lag when a certain user is downloading from steam.
The users is not in the top 5 of prority.
-
How is this user connected to the router? Wired or wireless?
Can you manually set the lowest priority, save settings and test again?
How are you connected when gaming?
What game platform are you using?
-
Wireless
Priority is set to 11.
Mostly when downloading game updates from Steam.
Windows.
-
Try lowering the priority even more maybe...
-
I have similar problems when lower priority users watch Youtube and I am trying to game. I'm not sure if it is the router or if my ISP is prioritizing the Youtube bandwidth on their end, but even when I'm number one priority gaming seems to suffer when lower priority users are doing download heavy things.
-
I wonder what happens if you swap priorities, gaming to low and youtube to high...

How do you do that?
-
Whatever device is streaming youtube, place at a higher priority...
