My modem DSL-2730U HW rev:U1
http://www.dlink.co.in/products/?pid=DSL-2730u
shows its firmware version as IN_1.00
but in another modem, i saw another version as IN_1.02.
When I checked product page, a saw that there is my same firmware version. ( IN_1.00 4/16/2011)
How can I get this update? sometimes my modem is getting configuration issues and am reconfiguring it when it fails.
Thanx

Confused :o :o :o

Interesting...you might phone contact them and ask them if that's the correct link and file for your model model or not...They maybe similar however I don't know if the file would be accepted by your model router during the FW update process...
Let us know what they say...
-
Sure,
Indian site provides following link:
ftp://support.dlink.co.in/broadband/DSL-2730U/firmware/DSL-2730U_IN_1.00_B038_K8G_0K-IN-00-3181_20111103.zip
but am unable to download the file even if it is older version.(Downloads fails).
-
That file downloaded successfully for me.
Suggestions for downloading files:
3rd Party Security Software Configurations
- Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

Got new firmware IN_1.03 for DSL-2730U HW:U1.
Link Removed!
But still there is some bugs, how can I report it?
-
Please don't post links to non official file sites for FW. The ftp link you posted does work for getting this version of FW.
You'll need to phone contact D-Link support for issues regarding the FW.
What bugs are you supposedly seeing? ???
-
But it was provided by D link support team.
Bugs:
Some User interface
Shows MAC ID in the column of Serial no
-
Repost the link please...

Ya I'd call them back and ask about these. Usually the Mac IDs should be different from the Modems System Info. There will be a MAC ID for the LAN connection and a MAC ID for the Wireless. These should be different.
Let us know what they say.
-
Thank you, But MAC ID is shown in the column of Serial no.
-
Ya, thats not good. Please phone them again and report this.
-
Reported, Waiting for their reply.
Thank you.

Let us know how this goes...

I recommend that you check D-Links India support site or phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Ask them if this version would work for you:
