Okay so yesterday I bought a DIR-615 to replace a Netgear Wireless G WGR614 in order to increase range and speed from neighbors connection while I work on getting my finances in order to get my internet turned back on.
Anyways I installed the new Wireless N adapter and Router got it all configured and to my dismay instead of getting the 2-6x better connection I had one that was 3x worse.
I tried adjusting antennas and moving it around but found that nothing had changed so im wondering is the router defective or is there something in configuration that may be slowing it down doing a Google search I found that someone said QoS slows the DIR 615 down but i'm unsure any advice :-\

Having the SAME problem!! i too, bought the dlink to replace my netgear---it's sooooooooo much worse! AND the connection keeps going down to 1Mbps!!!??!! WTF is THAT?!!
AND it works on some laptops in the house(there are 3) and other times on one person gets internet access!

Okay I decided to disable QoS and it solves the problem completely. I definitely will steer clear of DLink next time though this is ridiculous. Most companies would stop selling routers with technologies that are faulty enough to screw with performance.
