Title: cable status port question

I'm trying to connect my xbox 360 to the router and i notice on the router itself under device info that the cable status port flashes from connected to disconnected no matter what port I try on the router! Is this an indication that the cable is bad? It works ok when I use the same cable on my network media player. Or maybe the port on the xbox is bad? Thanks

If the cable works with another device, then you can be pretty sure that the cable itself is not bad.  You might check the port on your console.
