Title: Multimedia Shares Settings problem
Post by: ycwkpp898 on March 22, 2014, 11:22:59 AM
I have tried so many times to set up a media server. I add the folder Our Films and it starts to build the library it then just sits there on 60% and does not move. i noticed in process in resource monitor sqldb is on 91.5 CPU. I have left the build for 3 hrs and then gone back into the media centre via my blu ray player and it has not added anymore videos. Is anyone else having this problem

Hi, I don't have a 327L yet, but on a hunch, you might try using the Ajaxplorer Addon, and reboot your NAS.  I discovered this little trick on an older Dlink model.  Other little tricks, create a subfolder and cut and paste some of the problem files into it.  Then check to see if they show up in the media share, if cutting doesn't work, try copying, and if either works copy the files back to where you want them and check again.  Just use a couple files to do the test.  I know none of this should be necessary or make sense, but what have you got to loose?   Good luck

Just saying
my media movie folder refreshes in about 2 minutes ( I have 1TB of movies)
I have created one for movies, another for photos and another for music (as to refresh all takes maybe 5 minutes) and I am adding new movies every other day.
Yours should not hang.

I would also say my 2014 Panasonic TV is hit and miss on seeing the new movies files before or after refresh and may only work the next day or two or after multiple refreshes or see multiple folders for same movies etc
This does not happen with hard drive directly plugged in and other devices such as Onkyo receiver needs no refreshing to see new music
