I can hear and be heard on my DPH-541 WiFi phone under all conditions except when someone calls me. I can hear them but they can't hear me. Nothing changes after I forward numerous relevant VOIP, RTP and STUN ports. Interestingly, I had the same problem using the same SIP credentials on the X-lite softphone, but it was remedied by deleting all audio codecs except G711 uLaw. Unfortunately, when I selected that codec on the DPH-541 it didn't make a difference. I tried all the other DPH-541 codecs but none of them did the trick either. Is there a fix or workaround for my situation? The phone works perfectly in all other respects.
OS: Vista Home Premium
Firmware upgrade: yes

Do you have two firewalls in your network? How about your modem? Is it a pass through device (bridge mode) or acting as a DHCP server? Please give us a brief descriptions of your network connections.

I have a Netgear CG814WG cable modem/NAT router combo that does not have a dedicated firewall. The router provides network IPs via DHCP, and the network uses WEP encryption. I tried the incoming call with the phone in the DMZ, and the result was the same. I have a personal software firewall on my computer but the DPH-541 WiFi phone is not connected to my computer in any way.
I believe the problem lies in the way my VOIP provider handles audio codecs. I've since found that X-Lite softphone handles the calls correctly once I remove G711-aLaw from the audio codec list. G711-uLaw plays well with all the rest of the codecs except G711-aLaw. The DPH-541 allows me to select among 3 audio codecs (G723, G711-aLaw, G711-uLaw) but does not allow me to remove any of them, unlike X-Lite.
