Title: DAP-1522 issue with direct LAN game
Post by: Vandervecken on March 30, 2014, 12:54:49 AM
Hi all,
I recently replaced my 5-way switch on my home network with a DAP-1522.
Now I'm unable to play Borderlands LAN games.  The two computers are both ethernet-connected to the DAP-1522.  They can ping each other, but when one machine sets up a LAN game, the other machine cannot see it.
If I swap out for a simple switch (without changing anything else), they connect without difficulty.
What is the DAP-1522 doing to block the connection?  Is there something I need to configure?

Thanks,
Vandervecken

What mode is the DAP running in? AP or Bridge?
What is the mfr and model of the ISP Modem and Main Host Router?

Check LAN wires, swap out to be sure?

I'm assuming the DAP is setup as a wireless bridge or Access point mode.  If that's the case, IPs and port restrictions are most likely coming from the router.  Have you forwarded the game ports on the router?
