Hi All,
I have 2 units of the Rev A of the camera and one of them suddenly stops recording to the MicroSD card.
Both camera used the same settings were both are set to record on MicroSD when motion is detected. But unfortunately the other one is no longer doing this.
I have performed the following steps but still did not resolved the issue:
1. Re-apply the 1.12 firmware downloaded from the site
2. Restore to factory settings and started from scratch on the settings.
3. Reformatted the MicroSD using the camera
4. Used the MicroSD card from the other camera. (the other camera was able to record on the one from the one that has an issue)
5. Used another MicroSD card
6. Reset the motion detection settings and set the sensitivity to 100% and High for the IR
What is working:
1. Recording using the application found in DNS-320L with motion trigger
Can someone Help me on this.

Well that sucks, the remaining 5222L Rev A is also not recording to SD. The other 1 was returned to D-Link for exchange since even the support was not able to do anything, now a few weeks after the first one failed, the other one failed the same way.

ok, found the issue, the problem originated in the 1.12 FW since after downgrading to 1.11 FW the camera started recording again and after i re-apply 1.12 FW again, then the camera stops recording, so i just reverted back to 1.11 FW.
So the issue is on software and not on hardware.

Can other DCS-5222L rev "A" owners confirm/replicate this issue?

By the way, to be specific, its A3, not sure if it has something different on other "A" versions...

Can other DCS-5222L rev "A" owners confirm/replicate this issue?
Hallo,
I have the same model, a DCS-5222L rev "A" camera with latest firmware 1.12.
No way, it doesn't record on micro SD.
I'll try downgrading the firmware.

My rev A has just stopped recording to SD. This has happened a few times before and a powercycle has usually fixed but not this time.
MD works, SD card formatted but no joy.
Will also try the FW downgrade.

Can other DCS-5222L rev "A" owners confirm/replicate this issue?
Hello. After I had faced the same problem with my A version, I sent an email to DLink Support, alerting the problem. I've also searched on the internet, trying to find any other reference to that, but with no success. This is the only forum that I've found it.
Since I've been using the camera outside of the US, they don't wanna give me support for it.
The current solution is downgrading to version 1.11.

Disable the "Schedule Device Reboot" so you can record with your microsd again.

Even though I've tried to do that, it didn't work.

Confirmed it does not record unless you downgrade to the previous 1.11 version. I do not understand why Dlink does not care to reply to this thread and why not bother answering about a firmware that has glitches.

My rev. A developed this problem a few months ago. I have disabled the automatic reboot, unchecked all the boxes and set the time to 00:00. recording appears to be working again now. :)

I just spoke to support and they keep insisting that it's not a known issue. Not sure why they won't admit it's a problem or just fix it...
Is there a way to disable the new firmware notification on myDlink website and apps? It's annoying and if you click OK it updates for you.

I got mine to work again. It's been recording fine for a couple weeks now.
Looks like it just hates the Kingston MicroSD that was bundled in the box with my camera. Put a new one in and it's working fine again.
