I see no option in the menu to configure the DNS. This seems like a bit of an oversight.
Does someone know a manual way to access and change this setting?
Thank You in advance.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Have you reviewed the User Manual on Page 28 for this information?

My mistake. I should have been more specific.
I cannot set the DNS of the DIR-510L "Wi-Fi" Network.
I would like to use my own internal DNS (connected to the Wi-Fi) for my other connected devices.
Regards, Troy
Note: I am in the USA. At work without the router in my had not to supply firmware version.

"User Manual"? Where did you find one of those for the 510L, FurryNutz? It's not listed on D-Link's downloads page for the 510L.
My recollection is that the 510L doesn't allow you to specify your own DNS servers, but I will check mine tonight to see if that's available.

You sure about that? ??? http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-510L (http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-510L)

Silly me - I was looking at the Downloads tab of the product page (http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/connect/routers/dir-510l-wi-fi-ac750-portable-router-and-charger), which lists only a datasheet. And there's a link "Go to the DIR-510L Support Page". Maybe this leads to the page you linked to? Nope - same lack of information as on the product page.
So how is one supposed to find this OTHER support page?
-
Ok - to answer the original question, no, there does not appear to be a way to override the DNS settings for a WiFi connection. You can do this only for Ethernet connections. The page FurryNutz pointed to shows where the DNS addresses are displayed, but there is no option to set your own.
-
So I presume you found the UM? ::)
-
I did, now that you pointed to the other subsite not linked as "Support" from the product page. I suppose I should have remembered from my other D-Link products that they do this.
