Hi all,
i bought recently this camera (pack of two cameras), the installation of camera went well, i have a IP address and ping command works fine, but in software D-Link ViewCam when i want to connect the camera, i get the following status : 'Connecting' and 'Disconnected', it should take about 2 seconds, no error, no explanation. I have the same behavior with 'Surveillance Station' on my Synology NAS.
Thanks for your help.

Are you referring to the desktop application D-ViewCam or the mydlink service mobile apps?
-

No problem.
You can also post D-ViewCam related issues on the D-ViewCam board located here: D-ViewCam Board (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=156.0)

But i think it's not a problem of D-ViewCam because i have the same issue on Surveillance Station, a software of my Synology NAS.
-
Also, what firmware version is installed on the DCS-5222Ls? The current release is v1.12.
-
Here is the information :
H/W Ver. : A2
F/W Ver : 1.01
On website D-Link the current version is 1.10 2813, correct ?
Thanks for help

Go to mydlink.com/support (http://mydlink.com/support)and download the latest version from there.

Hi,
i downloaded the latest version and new bundle, i desinstalled all software and made a new installation. I still have the same problem, i use DHCP protocol, i have the address 192.168.1.13 on port 80 (this port is open i checked). Same problem with Surveillance Station of my Synology NAS. :-[
But how i check the new version firmware ?
It's really frustrating and incomprehensible.

You can check the firmware version by logging into the DCS-5222L web UI by entering the camera IP address in a browser on a PC on the same LAN as the camera. After logging in, the firmware version should be listed on the top corner of the screen. Alternatively, you can navigate to STATUS > Device Info
Is your IP address 192.168.1.13 in the range you established for your router? Are you 100% sure there are no other devices with a static IP address set to x.x.x.13 that may be trying to steal the IP from the camera? It wouldn't hurt to try another IP address to be sure.

Ok thanks i will do it tonight ;D

Well it's a crazy story...
i can't log me into the DCS-5222L web UI.
First step, i create an user account with privilege on my camera. In browser i enter the camera IP address, i put the login/password and the web site tell me "Please enter correct account/password.". I tried with admin account and it's not work.
I deleted the camera and had a new installation of camera by Search, the system found my camera, good, when i select it the system tell me "Can't connect to IP camera. Please check the network setting", well probably my problem, so what can i check ? I don't understand this message... Notice that i can ping the camera by IP address it's work fine.
Thanks a lot lot for your help.

No ideas ?

Does the password use special chararacters? You may want to try only using alphanumeric characters and see if that helps.
