I've asked this over a year ago & the answer was no.
also D-link said they had no intention of (re)integrating this.
I have the dcs-2121 now, which work perfectly well with samba,
but need to add (at least) 1 extra camera.
Is my only option to get the DNR-322L? (I do NOT want to record to an intergraded memory card)

I'm not sure about Samba, but can lay out all of your recording options:
- NVR
- The newer ShareCenters have an add-on to record video
- D-Link's free D-ViewCam software which runs off a Windows PC can manage all of the recordings from your camera(s) to the local PC HDD
- FTP video recording
- Third-party recording solution (i.e. third party app/service)

thanks reply
I don't want to keep my pc on in order to record...
right now I have a harddrive connected to my router/internetbox & my cameras record
straight to it via wifi. (so basicall recording to a NAS drive)
i think non of the solutions you give me will work with my setup...?

There is a hybrid solution that may work for you. The DNR-202L is an NVR that only works with externally connected HDDs via USB ports on the DNR-202L. The DNR-202L has no internal storage capacity, so the cost of the unit is much less.

that's very nice indeed, but only works with the newer (cloud) models.
But guess it's the only way to go if I want to add a new cameras.
Btw is the DNR-202L new, cos seems not (yet) available in Europe...?

The device was released in the U.S. last fall I believe. The DNR-202L board on this forum was created in November 2013 if that's any indication of age.
