Title: 820 - Enable HTTPS, Disable HTTP
Post by: moss18 on April 15, 2014, 11:42:17 AM
Is there a way to enable HTTPS access to the router but disable HTTP?

Page 95 says this is possible, yet I can still login on HTTP after setting has been added.

This feature is for logging into the router using the remote management feature and connecting to the router from a remote location from the WAN side of the router. If HTTPS option is enabled along with the HTTPS feature then you would use the HTTPS:\\WAN IP address gets from the ISP services/modem.

Im learning about: Cross Site Request Forgery or DNS Rebinding

Apparently having always required HTTPS could avoid these issues.

Not possible I take it?

May be not on these home class routers...maybe on the business class routers...
If your wanting to use specific DNS, please review this:
Link>Finding Faster DNS Addresses using Name Bench (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53222.0) and input new DNS addresses under Setup/Internet/Manual.[/li][/list]
