dlink viewcam software...
1.) Is 3.6 the latest version
2.) using wifi, viewcam not finding my camera on the search, does this mean I have to set up a LAN for them to be discovered and used. If so, do you have instructions on how I set up for home computer for recording my cameras .... I am not a business..
I wanted to try this viewcam software because it came with my camera's (I bought 2 dcs-930L's and (1) DCS 5010L)
Mydlink software and iphone dlink viewingworks great, just want to be able to record (hopefully motion activated)

Yes, 3.6.0 is the latest version. If you are using a static IP address for your cameras, just use "Insert" instead of "Search" and enter the cameras IP address manually within D-ViewCam.
I'm not exactly sure what procedures D-ViewCam uses for searching for cameras, but if you're using DHCP then you should log into each camera's GUI by IP Address then go to Setup>Network Setup and make sure UPnP Settings are ENABLED and that Bonjour settings are also ENABLED.
Do note that D-ViewCam must be running on the SAME network the cameras are on. You will not be able to connect to them if you are on a different network.
