Title: DCS-5222L Buzzing sound
Post by: backwall on April 21, 2014, 04:04:00 AM
I bought two cameras. One works perfect. The other one has a constant buzzing sound. Quite high. But ju can hear lound sounds trough he buzzing when watching. But I cant figure out how to get rid of the Buzz. Firmware is updated, I tried different places in the house to check if there were something disturbing it.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I really would like to hear trough the camera.

Hoping for your help!

Regards Henrik

Does the sound occur when the camera is wireless and wired? Have you tested a wired connection?

I had this with a 942L.  It was placed near the computer's speaker and it ended up being feedback.  Who knew these things had speakers?  I disabled the audio and that shut it up.

The DCS-5222L Rev "A" has a microphone and an audio out (no on-board speakers). I believeDCS-5222L Rev "B" has an integrated speaker. The speakers and audio-out are used for the two-way audio functionality.

What hardware version do you have (A or B)?
