I have a DNS-327L and a DCS-5020L set up. I would like to record the videos from the 5020 to the 327L. At the moment I seem to be only able to do this if my computer is on and my DViewCam app is running.

Is there any way I can get the recording to continue even if my computer and DViewCam app is switched off?

Assuming that is not possible, if I was to change to a DCS-5222L instead, would I be able to record to my DNS-327L without having to leave the computer and DViewCam on?

 Thanks in advance.

The DNS-327L has an add-on called My Surveillance that can manage all of the recordings from multiple D-Link network cameras on your LAN. Using this add-on, there is no need to use D-ViewCam as the internal DNS-327L application manages/schedules all monitoring and recording.

Log into the DNS-327L web UI and navigate to Home > My Folder > My Surveillance. If you are opening My Surveillance for the first time, right click on the My Surveillance icon and select Enable.
