Title: ftp site down?????
Post by: rchunter on April 24, 2014, 10:34:47 AM
Is Dlink still in business??? I've been trying for a few days to get the latest firmware from the ftp site and it's not working.  The latest firmware is supposed to fix some issues with connecting to android phones and I need it.  Otherwise i'm going to have to ditch this router and buy a new one.  I have DIR-655 A4.  Is there any alternate sites to get this from? I need the 1.37NA firmware for hardware A4.  TIA for any help.

Doesn't work.   Alert 425. Failed to establish connection,   Are you really able to get in?

Works for me...I just downloaded the file.

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

Nope, I tried 2 different computers.  One running linux one running windows. With firefox addons disabled.  Still doesn't work. I'm going to try an actual ftp client and see if that works.

OK, I just got it with Opera. Must have been some issue with firefox.  That's kind of strange because I disabled all the addons and it still wasn't working.  Anyway thanks for your help.  You can delete this thread if you want.

Glad you got it. Please follow the FW update process to load it clean. If your going from a v1.1x or v1.2x FW, You shouldn't load any saved config files from those as v1.3x has changed some. Capture any FW configurations with screen shots first before applying the update. It's best to set up from scratch then configure then re-save for this version.

Enjoy.  ;)
