Greetings all
I recently move out my parents place. I took the NAS with but the router had to stay. So I got provided a D-Link DSL-2750U by my service provided
I have tried both static ips aswell as using the DHCP neither is working I have chect the ethernet port and cable by using a laptop.
right now the configuration is
router
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
nas
IP Address: 192.168.1.200
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
There are no IP conflicts that I am aware of.
the NAS Lan LED on front flashes yellow every 4 second on the back at the Ethernet LED flash yellow every 4th second and 2 green flashes in that same second.
The Router does not even flash to show that a Ethernet net cable is plugged in
Connecting the NAS directly to PC (192.168.1.33) works, however this is not ideal I want the NAS accessible from my wireless devices.
I have run out of ideas please advise where to from here......
Thanks in advance.

- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Do other devices connect to the modem and gain access to Internet services?

Thanks for the Welcome note.

Yes I have connected a laptop via Ethernet port to ensure the port and cable I was using on the NAS was fine. Yes this laptop was able to connect.

I would presume that if other devices and the same cable used are connecting to the Internet correctly, I would check the networking configuration on the NAS to ensure it's correctly set up. You'll need to refer to the Mfrs web site for support and information regarding it's settings.
