Title: How Do I Downgrade Firmware? DCS-2332L
Post by: Freeekonaleesh2 on May 08, 2014, 05:49:26 PM
Like the topic states, how do I downgrade the firmware on my DCS-2332L?
I have downloaded the correct file(DCS-2332L_FW_v1.00.11_20121224) and uploaded it to the camera if I were to do a upgrade. It did not Work.
I have 2 DCS-2332L. One with the 1.00.11 Firmware that works and the other with 1.01.04 that keeps disconnecting.
If I turn the power off on the one with 1.01.04 and restart it, it works for a couple of days then starts messing up again.
I bought them at different times and that is why they have different firmware versions.

Again please let me know the proper procedure for Downgrading the firmware on the DCS-2332L.
Thank You in advanced.

You are correct that is were the Firmware can be found, but how do I Rollback/Downgrade to a older Firmware version? Currently the one camera has 1.01.04 and I need to downgrade to 1.00.11. Doing the procedure for a normal install of new Firmware is not working to downgrade to an older firmware version.

There is no special procedure. Selecting any valid firmware file and uploading it via the instructions I provided should install that version, regardless of the version that's currently installed.

It's possible your browser or Java install could be causing an issue, as many users (including myself) have encountered this type of difficulty in the past. If you're using IE then try Firefox or visa versa. Also see the following threads:

Were you able to successfully install an earlier FW?
