I use motion detection email alerts for my DCS-932L and it works pretty good but is there a way to run a DVR for the camera, or to setup recording on a cloud service online where it keeps maybe 48 hours worth of video and just writes over that video when its over 48 hours old, or something like that?

D-Link offers two consumer DVR devices: DNR-202L and DNR-322L. Alternatively, you can download and install D-Link's free D-ViewCam application on a PC located on the same network as the DCS-932L. The application can manage recording video from the DCS-932L to the local PC HDD.

Do you have a link for the PC? I cant seem to find it. Thanks

You will find the link in the following post: Network Cameras - Important Posts & Information (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58121.0)

Sorry I am still not 100% on what to download.. is it in the D-Link USA - D-ViewCam FTP Site link? and what file would it be in there?
-
Secondly, are you sure the DNR-202L works with the 932L? I was told I needed the 942L to record on the cloud device?

You can download the user manual at http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/ (under DCS-100)

Visit the DNR-202L board and check out the sticky posts, as they have a wealth of information: DNR-202L Board (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=425.0)
I also encourage you to download and read the user manual so you know what you're getting into. The DNR-202L does not accommodate internal HDDs, you need to connect external USB HDDs to the unit. If you want a HDD enclosure, you'll need the DNR-322L.
The DCS-932L should work just fine. If you want to record without an external software product or NVR, the DCS-942L has the ability to record video clips directly to an integrated SD Card slot inside the DCS-942L (no NVR required).

I will read the forum and manual tonight but just one more quick question.. You can record through wifi to this with the camera wireless still correct? And I assume just connects into the router? Thanks again!

Yes. ;)
