I live in a campus where we have Ethernet connection with a proxy server. I have given the proxy server address and port number in the proxy settings and when I open a browser, I have to give username password everytime I use the net. This was before the router.
Now what I want to do is, use my phone to access this internet wirelessly. I bought the DIR-600 and inserted the ethernet cable into it. Then I inserted the provided short cable into port 1 on the router and the other into my computer's port. When I try to access the address 192.168.0.1 from the computer's browser, I get a no proxy error.
Same thing happens when I connect my android phone to the wifi. It gets connected but says no proxy found.
So how can I make the router know that there is a proxy server before it? Where can I enter the proxy details so that the router will ask me the proxy's username password to access the net? Is it even possible using this router? ???

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
You may need to phone contact the campus site IT dept to see if there is any specific router settings needed or if they support routers on there network.
There isn't any proxy settings that D-Link routers feature. Routers are just passing thru traffic to there designated places that the router needs to handle. Proxy traffic isn't managed on D-Link routers.
