Title: power auto on after power fail? + Qs about NFS server and root
Post by: Smiff on May 27, 2014, 06:38:03 AM
hi, considering one of these to replace my old Stora still working ok but slow.

- are there any options to power on automatically? this was hassle with the Stora, had to be done manually after a power failure.

- any difficulties with obtaining root access to the OS? not sure if the gui will do what i want or not.

- any good replacement OS for the 327?

- any issues with NFS server included?

i mainly just want to use this box as an NFS server on a small Ubuntu linux LAN. on the Stora, this had to be hacked in (After difficult initial setup it's been remarkably reliable actually). i understand NFS server built into the 327 like most newer NAS but which version, any limitations etc.?

thanks.

have a 327L for about a year now - after a power fail it will restart - JUST MAKE SURE you have the setting adjusted to do it - and it works fine
