Title: Quick question
Post by: Jerkalerka on June 10, 2014, 05:06:33 PM
So im using this one. Right now as a repeater. It works somewhat good. The network im repeating is an Apple Timecapsule. My only problem is that i seem to not be able to connect to secure servers. Says its something with the DNS.

Its not the internet connection itself, because i can play games, be on skype, download stuff and so on without any trouble. But then on some webpages and in some games, it just wont work. Its making me crazy, because at one point it works fine, then i go for dinner and get back after 2 hours and it doesnt work.
No changes made, no1 used the computer or changed the original network settings. Just doesnt work.

Also, the Time Capsule want me to create a bridge to the repeater.

The only thing i want is:
A way for me to access internet from a computer without wireless connection.
So i thought the repeater would be an easy choice. But its given me so much trouble now.
Any suggestions? Is it better to use it as an AP?
To be clear, i need to have a cable from the DIR-505 to my computer.

Thanks

Problems with DNS will be needing to be reviewed at the main host router level. The 505 in Repeater mode is only repeating the singles coming from the main host routers wireless radio.

What wireless modes are you using on the main host WiFi?
