Title: DNS-320L and big files through FTP
Post by: alex_koliada on June 12, 2014, 01:56:19 PM
Hi 320L owners,

A day ago I've got my 320L, set up all shares and FTP, seems ok, but FTP has one serious issue.
If I try to download a rather big file (~6GB), nothing happens. Filezilla reports timeout after all, browsers just wait until connection timeout happens.
Small files like test .txt file put to the same directory downloads, with a delay, but downloads.

This is truly horrible issue for me, as I've always used FTP to share big files on previous devices.

Does anybody can reproduce this issue?
The default firmware version was 1.02, I've installed the latest 1.03 beta that I found, but this didn't affect anything.

Maybe I miss something?

Thanks.

Try to disable ftp server, restart the nas and see what happens

I tried all possible options (disabling/enabling options, rebooting, different firmwares). It seems like a bug, that has place rarely.

Try and update to 1.03 and then use the reset button at the rear of the nas (please backup all data on the nas)

The problem is somehow fixed by setting some 'NAT Acceleration' option to Disabled on the router (ASUS RT-N16).
So, I'll give this device one more chance.
Thanks for suggestions, repliers :)
